Lura Woods Parker Boyd, 96, of Woodbury passed away Thursday, February 10, 2022 after a short illness. A native of Cannon Co., she was preceded in death by her parents, Youree Woods and Altie Mae Haley Woods.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Wanda Parker of Woodbury; grandsons, Brian (Carla) Parker and Blake (Natasha) Parker all of Woodbury; great grandchildren, Emily Parker and Wyatt Coffman and stepdaughter, Dorothy Gerber of Murfreesboro.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, William Thomas Parker and Daniel Jackson Boyd, siblings, Alvin, Randall, Claris, Houston and Kenneth Woods and stepdaughter, Helen Smitty.
Ms. Boyd was a member of the Ivy Bluff Church of Christ and was retired from Perfect Equipment. She enjoyed making quilts and baskets. She loved her flowers and gardening.
Visitation with her family will be from 10 am until 2:45 pm Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Woodbury Funeral Home with graveside services to follow at 3 pm in Riverside Cemetery.
