Dana Cherie Alexander Parton

Dana Cherie Alexander Parton, 59, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2026 at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro.  Born in Woodbury, she is the daughter of Buddy Alexander of Woodbury and the late Eldra Frances Dunn Alexander.  
In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband of 40 years, John C. Parton of Woodbury; children, Brandi Machelle Parton Beaty (Nathan) of Murfreesboro, Matthew Parton Alexander of Woodbury; grandchildren, Ansley Machelle Beaty, Declan John Beaty and Adalyn Mae Beaty and her sister, Beverly Machelle Alexander of Woodbury.  Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and friends.
Dana was a member of the Church of Christ and work at Alvin C. York Medical Center in the call center where she helped veterans daily in their time of need.  Dana loved the beach, estate auctions, working in her garden and quilting but most of all, she loved being a GiGi to Ansley, Declan and Adalyn.
The Parton family will receive friends Saturday, July 25, 2026 from 4:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Sunday, July 26, 2026 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Norman Pelham and Tim Alexander officiating.  Interment will follow in Riverside Gardens.
Pallbearers include, Matthew Parton, Dustin Parton, Sawyer Parton, Skylar Daniel, Brandon and Brent Hutchinson, Brandon Sounthavanh, Daniel Vaden and J.D. Davenport.
