Claude Wiley Mathis

Claude Wiley Mathis, 52, went to fly with angels on February 1, 2011 following a short illness. A native of Cannon Co., he lived in Beech Grove.
 
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Tony Holt officiating. Visitation with the family will be Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
 
He is survived by his mother, Ella Bailey Mathis of Woodbury; his wife, Barbara Mathis of Beech Grove; Children, Regina Ann (Edward) Hobbs of Mt. Juliet, Amy Beth (Lee) Garvin of LaVergne, Claude Wiley, Jr. (Dara) Mathis and Eva Faye Burchell both of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Angel, Emmitt, Earl, Grace, Rhiannon, Saddie and Emily; Brothers, Bobby & Jeff Mathis of Woodbury; Sisters, Rita Watts, Nellie Bentley and Tammy Mathis all of Woodbury and his 4 legged children, Prissy & Precious.
 
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Mathis and his brother, Thomas “Bud” Mathis.  He was a member of the Church of Christ and a Heavy Equipment Truck Driver.  He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather and friend to many.
