Safety Day April 22 at fairgrounds

Come visit the Cannon County 2nd annual Public Safety Day Saturday, April 22 in Woodbury.

The event is set for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Justin Pemberton Memorial Arena at the Cannon County Fairgrounds. Admission is free.

The first 200 children will receive a special fire prevention and safety gift. The first 20 families will receive a free fire extinquisher and smoke detector.

Planned for the event are a number of exhibits including fire trucks, ambulances, rescue vehicles, law enforcement vehicles and a LifeFlight helicopter.

Booths on home electric and gas safety awareness are planned along with displays on public safety and preparedness.

For the youngsters, bounce houses will add to the fun along with refreshments and giveaways.
