Peggy June Starnes, 72, of Ardmore, Tennessee passed away Sunday, March 27, 2022 in Athens, Alabama. Peggy was born Thursday, July 7, 1949 to Medford and Nina George Campbell.
She has lived here since 1975 coming from Crossville, TN. She was the owner of Ardmore Florist and a member of Friendship UMC. She loved flowers, watching movies, reading, needle work, computer games, and singing in the choir.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents and 5 siblings.
She is survived by her husband, Tommy Starnes; son, Robert (Karie) Starnes; daughters, Vicky (Steve) Bradford and Becky (Dexter) Shelton; sisters, Joyce Rice, Juanita Frazekas and Patricia (Raymond) Cooper; grandchildren, Katie (Drew) Silva, Carly (Brian) Nelson, Stephanie Bradford, Trace (Chandler) Bradford, Sam Shelton, Abi Starnes and Ayden Starnes; and 8 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 30, 2022 from 5PM - 8PM at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
There will be a Chapel Service Thursday, March 31, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama with Bro. Tony Johnson and Bro. Steve Dorning officiating. Burial will follow at Blanche Cemetery, Taft, TN.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Damron, Jason Damron, Matt Lowe, Cody Lowe, Jase Damron and Jack Damron. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tommy Lowe, JP Damron and Luke Lowe.
