Nominations open for Courier Sports Hall of Fame

Nominations are open for the 6th annual Cannon Courier Sports Hall of Fame.

Nomination forms are available on Page 11 of today's edition of the Cannon Courier.

The Hall of Fame nominees will be honored along with Cannon County High School's All-Sports winners at a special banquet at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 19 at the Arts Center of Cannon County.

The event will feature a dinner catered by the Blue Porch. Tickets will be $25. The event is reserved for the first 250 who purchase tickets.

Members of the Hall of Fame include:

Class of 2015, Coach Michael Dodgen, Russell Davenport, Ray Robinson, Emily Sissom and Charles Dillard.

Class of 2014, Alan Bush, Bonnie Patterson, Gloria Stewart, Al Smith, Bill Smith and Beth Stark.

Class of 2013, Helen Davenport, Tom Dillard, Rick Insell, Mike Mayfield, Ronnie Smith and Teddy Taylor.

Class of 2012, Terry Gannon, Glenn Higgins, Bobby Parker, Harold Patrick and Vicky Todd.
