Quilts for Friends
Cannon Hall
Arts Center of Cannon County
John Harris and his family moved from NYC to DeKalb County some 40 years ago. After retiring 7 years ago John decided to see if he could learn to use a sewing machine and become a quilter. His initial interest in quilting began when he found quilting shows like "Fons and Porter" and "Sewing With Nancy" on the public TV station. Each of John's quilts are made for a particular friend. The designs and colors for that quilt are chosen with that friend in mind. John has made more than 23 quilts so far. 13 of which are display. The quilts will be on display through Dec. 20. at Cannon Hall in the Arts Center of Cannon County.
