Dossie D. Arnold

Mr. Dossie D. Arnold, 75, of Woodbury passed away on August 9, 2016. He was born on April 8, 1941 in Murfreesboro, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents Dossie E. Arnold and Jimmie Snow Arnold; his wife Linda Barrett Arnold and a sister, Sylvia Gannon.

He is survived by his sons, Paul (Sheree McCardell) Arnold of Woodbury and Mark (Trisha) Arnold of Smyrna; daughter, Jennifer (Justin) Dyer of Murfreesboro; grandchildren Devon, Abbie, Jessica and Laura Arnold and Landon Dyer.

Mr. Arnold loved playing music. He played bass guitar and drums for different churches he attended. He was a member of Plainview Baptist Church. He worked for over twenty years for the former Neil Sandler Auto in Murfreesboro. Mr. Arnold enjoyed working with his hands. He liked to paint and craft things from wood. He also liked to go fishing. Spending time with family was his favorite thing to do.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Friday, August 12, 2016 from 5-8pm. Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation in the Smith Funeral Home chapel. Interment will be held privately at Riverside Garden. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital.
