The Thaggard sisters, Cynthia and Hope, lost their big brother, David Worth Thaggard, on Tuesday, March 31, 2026. He was 73.
A lover of everything about the outdoors, he was thankful to God for all its beauty. He pointed out to his friends the beauty of the clouds, trees, flowers, rocks and everything else about nature.
If anyone was known as a rambling man, it was Worth. A traveler to put it mildly, he lived in 10 different states during his lifetime.
Many of his schoolmates remember him as Mr. Florence (MS) High School. He was an incredible athlete in multiple sports. Also a graduate of Mississippi College, he spent many of his adult years as a paralegal.
He loved meeting his friends for a game of pool whenever he got the chance. Among the other passions were reading a good book and collecting antiques.
His sisters (Hope Fair (Murphy) of Readyville, TN and Cynthia Easley (Bill) of Pontotoc, MS) will miss his smile, kindness and great sense of humor. His youngest sister, Kolen Ates, was happy to meet him in Heaven. Worth also had a daughter, Tabitha Miller, who resides in Grayson Beach, FL.
His dog, Maggie, will be the one to miss him the most. They were best friends.
