The first ever Merchants Christmas Parade scheduled for the second day of the 30th annual Cannon Country Christmas event this weekend has created some confusion. The parade set to begin from Dillon Park Saturday afternoon at 5:00 is not the official Woodbury Christmas Parade which is organized by the Woodbury Lions Club.
The official Woodbury Christmas Parade is still scheduled as always for the first Saturday in December (December 5th). Officials with the Woodbury Lions Club say the parade will take place as planned. The parade is part of Lions Club Day which kicks off Saturday morning December 5th with a pancake breakfast featuring a visit from Santa at the Lions Club Building.
This Saturday November 21st will be a parade featuring the various merchants participating in Cannon Country Christmas. You can find more information about the event by picking up a print copy of the Cannon Courier and checking out the special section devoted to the activities on Friday and Saturday.
