Two vehicles were involved in a two-car, head-on collision in the 7400 block of Jim Cummings Hwy. (53 South) this morning.

A person in of one of the vehicles reportedly received leg injuries and was transported to Stones River Hospital for treatment.

Deputy Brandon Gullett of the Cannon County Sheriff’s Department investigated the accident.

The Cannon County Rescue Squad, the Mooretown Volunteer Fire Dept. and the Cannon County Emergency Medical Service were also on scene after being dispatched by Cannon County 911.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol was also contacted to do an investigation.
