WHEREAS, the Tennessee Governmental Prayer Alliance is a ministry that is dedicated to serving those in authority from the White House to the Court House through intercession and interaction in order to impact our communities in positive and practical ways, and

WHEREAS, the purpose of the Tennessee Governmental Prayer Alliance is to give thanks for and to serve all those in authority through prayer regardless of party affiliation or political views, and

WHEREAS, our governmental leaders need to be uplifted and encouraged through these prayers and petitions and made aware that people of faith desire to serve our cities, our state and our nation, and

WHEREAS, a clarion call has been made and heard in Cannon County, Tennessee to establish a new chapter, the Cannon County Branch of the Tennessee Governmental Prayer Alliance that will serve our local governmental leaders through intercession and interaction in order to impact our local communities in positive and practical ways.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Mike Gannon, County Executive of Cannon County, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the laws of Cannon County do hereby encourage the citizens of Cannon County to enlist in the Cannon County Branch of the Tennessee Governmental Prayer Alliance and to unite to pray for our county, our cities, our state and our great nation in order that we may fulfill our divine destiny and that we may live free, safe and productive lives.
