WILLIE MAE NIPPER age 81 of Murfreesboro, died Thursday July 30, 2009. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Vera Miller Burnett.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, with Glenn Climer officiating. Burial will be in Coleman Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tyler Edmondson, Willie Upchurch, Robert Warrick, Dustin Ray, Ricky McClure, Carl McClure, and Larry Murphy. Honorary pallbearers will be Nate Garrett, Tate Edmondson, and Dallas Upchurch.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years W.D. (Sam) Nipper, daughter Judy (Bruce) Murphy of Ashland City, Sister Ola Dement of Murfreesboro, five Grandchildren Michelle and Lee McClure, Chris Jacobs both of Murfreesboro, Veronica Upchurch, Pete Jacobs both of Woodbury, Valarie Edmondson of Ashland City, niece Mistye Garrett of Murfreesboro, twelve Great Grandchildren, and Five Great Great Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a daughter Carolyn Jacobs, sisters Frances Hasty, Mayme Clark Burnett, Sarah Thelma Burnett, and a brother L.W. Burnett.

She was retired from Norris Hosiery Mill and was a member of Taylor Chapel Baptist Church. Visitation will be 12:00 Noon until 8:00 p.m. Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. www.woodfinchapel.com (615) 893-5151.
