Ruth Virginia Davis

Ruth Virginia Davis, 88, died Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012 at MTMC following an extended illness.                          

A resident of Woodbury, she was born in Whittier, NC.

Survivors:   

Children, Susie Roy of Orlando, FL., Barbara Garczynski and her husband Dennis of Woodbury; Charles Davis and his wife, Betty of Woodbury

3 Sisters, Ruby Johnson, Doris Sutton & Ellen Revis all of Sylva, NC

Brother, Dale Seagle of Sylva, NC

4 Grandchildren, Chad Davis, Laura Smartt, Justin Davis and Tanya Touchet

5 great grandchildren, Ian Marc Davis, Caitlynn Touchet, Isaac Touchet, Eric Smartt & Phoebe Smartt

She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Ollie Ash Seagle and her husband, Hilliard Erwin Davis.

A member of the Jehovah’s Witness, she was a retired housewife.

Funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14 with Bro. Billy Land officiating.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time of service Saturday, January 14, 2012.

We have wonderful memories of Ruth coming to the house and being with her and Barbara many, many times along with Ruby Guitterez. Their family is in our prayers and Barbara and your family, we are thinking of you at this time and also Chuck and his family. SHe was a devout Jehovah’s Witnesses and many new her by her strong faith and convictions......she truly will be missed......
