Mr. Robert Gene Stafford, 87, of Woodbury died June 6, 2011. He was born December 18, 1923 in Indianapolis, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles R. Stafford and Ruth O. Stafford Potter. He is also preceded in death by his son, Cory Stafford and a step-brother, David Potter.

Survivors include his son, Brian Stafford of Woodbury, a daughter, Belinda Stafford; twin brother, Donald Eugene Stafford of Indianapolis; a granddaughter, Koryanna Stafford; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Stafford was a veteran of the U.S. Army during WWII and earned a Purple Heart and Four Bronze Stars during his enlistment. The Military Honor Guard will be in attendance to present the flag. Mr. Stafford was a Christian. He loved collecting all sorts of things and cars.

Graveside services will be held at Riverside Cemetery on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at 11 AM. Greg Mitchell will officate. Smith Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. (615)563-5337.
