PrintMs. Melissa (Simpson) Young, 45, of Bradyville died May 14, 2013. She was born in Woodbury, TN on November 3, 1967. Her parents were the late Sterling Simpson and Lillian "Polly" (Parker) Simpson.
She is survived by her son, Cody Young of Woodbury; daughter, Ashley Young of Woodbury; brothers, Bobby & Susie Simpson of Bradyville, Billy & Tami Simpson of Ivy Bluff and Jimmy & Cindy Simpson of Bradyville; sisters, Shannon Simpson of Murfreesboro and Teresa Parker of Smithville.
Ms. Young was a member of the Baptist Church. She graduated from Cannon County High School in the Class of 1986. Growing up she and her sisters always had a good time being together and doing each others hair and makeup. She enjoyed arts and crafts. She was a loving mother.
Visitation will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Friday, May 17, 2013 from 10-11:30 AM. Graveside services will follow in Amity Cemetery at 12-noon. Joe Sissom will officiate. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Smith Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
