Maggie Mai Gunter Brown, 91, died Monday, Nov. 30, 2009 at Woodbury Health Care following an extended illness.

A native of Cannon County, she was retired from Good Samaritan Hospital and attended Pleasant View Baptist Church.

Visitation will be after 3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, at Woodbury Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2, in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Tom Watkins and Bro. Jeff Cripps officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Gardens.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Brown; her parents, Alex and Jennie Blair Gunter; three brothers, Estes, Gray and Abraham Gunter; and a sister, Josephine Watson.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Hazel and Prentice Cooper of Portland, TN; her son and daughter-in-law, Norman and Connie Brown of Woodbury; two granddaughters, Rhonda Merriman and Jennifer (Sam) Morris of Woodbury; four great-grandchildren, Trent and Trey Jones and Dalton and Emily Morris; one niece and several nephews.

Active pallbearers will be Danny and Christopher Brown, Dee and Shawn Gunter and Shane and Shannon Gannon.
