Mrs. Lois Allmon
Mrs. Lois Allmon, 102, of Manchester died March 17, 2013. She was born on July 5, 1910 in Bells, Tennessee. Her parents were the late Frank Jacob Perryman and Florence (Peavyhouse) Perryman. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Iris Allmon; brother, Cleatus Perryman and half-brothers, John Perryman and William Perryman; sisters, Martha Lamberson, Louise Sampson and Eunice Lamberson.

She is survived by her daughters, Linda & Thurman Walden of Manchester, Nancy & Stephen Shoemaker of West Jefferson, NC, and Eugenia & Barry Donbaugh of Douglasville, GA; grandchildren, Michael Shannon Stone, Heather Erin Stone and Jennifer Donbaugh Henesler; one great grandchild, Elena Henesler.

Mrs. Allmon was a member of the Church of Christ and taught Bible School for many years, while her husband preached. She earned a Secreterial Certificate from the Watkins Institute. Worked for Bell Telephone for a period of time and for DuPont where she met her future husband. Also, for many years she sold World Books door to door. She loved to sew and taught many other ladies. She enjoyed canning and taking care of her family.

Graveside services will be held at Trousdale Cemetery in Warren County on Saturday, March 23, 2013. Charles Williams will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Timothy Hill Children's Home or Camp Shiloh. Contact Smith Funeral Home for details. (615)563-5337
