Mrs. Jessie Burr (Alexander) Jackson, 67, of Murfreesboro died March 4, 2010. She was a native of Cannon County, born in Readyville on April 23, 1942. Her parents were the late Jesse Clyde "Jake" Alexander and Eunice Mildred (Finley) Alexander. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Curtis Ray Little and sister, Marlene Taylor.

Survivors include her husband, J T Jackson of Murfreesboro; son and daughter-in-law, Ricky Joe & Pat Alexander of LaVergne; daughter, Jana Faye Smith of LaVergne; step-sons, Curtis Little, Jr. of Murfreesboro, Ron & Peggy Jackson, David & Sheryl Jackson; step-daughter, Cindy McCormick all of Murfreesboro; brothers, Robert Wiley "Buddy" & Eldra Alexander of Woodbury, Gerry Alexander of Hillsboro; sisters, Lillian & Richmond Alexander of Woodbury, Elaine Martin of Woodbury; Mary Dale & Buddy Clark of LaVergne; one granddaughter, Joanna Wilkes of LaVergne; step-grandchildren, Calvin McCormick, Blake McCormick, Chris Jackson, Brett Jackson, Olivia Jackson, Alyse Jackson, Madeline Jackson, Danielle Jackson, Shannon Hipp, Joey Hipp and Scotty Hipp; step-great grandchildren, Bradley Jackson, Bethany Jackson and Ali Grace Jackson; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Mrs. Jackson was a member of the Woodbury Church of Christ. She was co-owner of Curtis Little & Associates Insurance. She also worked for many years at Genesco and General Electric.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Mar. 6, 2010 from 4-8 PM at Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Sunday, Mar. 7, 2010 at 2 PM in the Smith Funeral Home chapel. Tim Alexander will officiate and interment will be in Riverside Cemetery. Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. www.smithfuneralhomewoodbury.net (615)563-5337.
