Isaac (Ike) Arles Vinson II

Isaac (Ike) Arles Vinson II, 90, died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010 at his home following a short illness.

A native of Warren County, he was a resident of Readyville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ike and Letha Cummings Vinson; his wife, Virginia White Vinson; and a son, Charles Cordell Vinson.

Survivors include his children, Ike Vinson III (Sandra) of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Suzanne (Don) Dixon of Morristown, Janie (Frank) Ivan of Mechanicsville, MD and Martha Miller (Jerry Tapponnier) of Colonial Beach, VA; a daughter-in-law, Katherine Vinson of Waldorf, MD; and three sisters, Blanche Wise and Elizabeth Vinson of Woodbury and Vida Thompson of Pleasant View.

He worked in retail sales, was a veteran of the Army-Air Force and attended the Church of Christ.

Visitation will be Saturday, Aug. 28, from 2 to 8 p.m. at Woodbury Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 29, in the chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Brother Howard Knox Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemtery.
