Helen Ann Vance, 60, of Smithville, died Saturday, Jan. 26 at DeKalb Community Hospital.

She worked at Walker Manufacturing as a machine operator. She was a Baptist. Survivors include two sons, Michael Vance and Comer Vance of Smithville; two sisters, Virginia (Alfred) Ervin of Smithville and Linda (Jim) Romines of Woodbury; two brothers, Delmar Anderson of Sparta and Marc Anderson of Livingston; a granddaughter, Allison (Joe) Edge of Smithville; two great-grandchildren, Makya Edge and Makinna Edge of Smithville, along with several nieces, nephews and friends.

Services were held Monday, Jan. 28, at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home with Bro. B.J. Thomason officiating. Burial was in Ervin Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Tommy and Sudie Hicks Anderson; husband, Kenneth Vance, two sisters, Pat Wyatt and Lois Steward, two brothers, Lester Anderson and Sammy Anderson and nephew, Delmer Junior Anderson.
