Funeral services for Mrs. Eva Mae Holt, age 85 of Manchester, will be conducted Friday, November 4, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Mr. Mike Lewis officiating.

Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Holt passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2011 in Manchester.

She was born October 8, 1926 in Cannon County, TN the daughter of the late Virgil Owen and Mamie Parker Owen Yates.  In earlier years, she was employed with Snowhite Dry Cleaners in Manchester for over 19 years.  She was a well known, talented seamstress who enjoyed sewing for her customers as well as the entire Coffee County community.  

After retiring from Snowhite Dry Cleaners, she continued to do seamstress work from her home for many years.  She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who loved and adored her children and grandchildren very much as well as being an avid animal lover.  She was a longtime member of Westwood Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her step-father, J.P. Yates, her first husband, Dewey Anderson, her second husband, Clement E. Holt, a daughter-in-law, Martha Teal Holt and a half-brother, Charles Owen.

Survivors include three children, Drenda Anderson Massey of Nashville, TN; C. Keith Holt and wife, Karen of Manchester and Michael W. Holt of Murfreesboro; five grandchildren, Rebecca Massey, Elizabeth Faulkner-Rhyne and husband, Stewart, Emma Holt, Kasen Holt and Karis Holt.  Also surviving is a brother, Virgil “John” Owen of Morrison; half- brothers and half-sisters, Janice Owen Lund of Nashville, Eddie Owen of Gallatin, Tony Owen of Hendersonville, TN and her dear friend and caregiver, Mrs. Sharon Williams also of Manchester and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and loving friends.
