Emma C. Young Smith

Emma C. Young Smith, age 96 passed away Thursday, August 12, 2010 at Williamson Medical Center.

A native of White Co., she was the daughter of the late William & Dossie Adcock Young.  Her husband was the late David S. Smith. She lived most of her life in Cannon Co.

Funeral services will be 1 pm Sat., Aug. 14, 2010 at McMahan Church of Christ with Bro. Jeff McMahan and Bro. Richard Bowman officiating.  Burial will follow in the McMahan cemetery.

She is survived by her children, Alvin Carl (Betty) Smith of Woodbury, Jean Smith Smith of Franklin, Charlotte Smith (Tommy) Boals of Smyrna, Martha Smith Johnson of Franklin; 2 siblings, Onie Young Smith of CA and Birchie Young Jeffries of Smithville; 6 grandchildren, Melissa Hostetter, David A. Smith, Cindy Boals, Craig Boals, Lori Seaton & Lee Ann Davis.  9 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren also survive.

A member of the McMahan Church of Christ, she was a Proverbs 31 woman.

Visitation with the family will be Sat. from 10 am till 12:15 pm at Woodbury Funeral Home.

She was a good and faithful servant to her Lord & family.  She will be greatly missed.
