Elvin Holt, Jr., 75, died Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011 at United Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.

A Cannon County native, he lived in Woodbury.             

Survivors:

Wife: Lavada Faye Farless Holt of Woodbury.

Son: Randy Dale (Claudette) Holt of Bradyville.

Sisters: Thelma Lassiter of Sparta and Geneva Denny of Woodbury.

Several nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elvin Holt, Sr. & Connie Mae Williams Holt and son, Steve Holt.

A member of the Church of Christ, He was retired from Trailer Manufacturing. He was also a veteran of Korea where he served in the Army as PFC.

Funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 23, 2011 with Bro. Gayle Rains officiating.

Burial will be in Gilley Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service Friday, December 23, 2011. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Woodbury Funeral Home for funeral expenses.
