Elizabeth Francis Marshall, age 89, passed away on January 24, 2012.

She was born on October 23, 1922 in Readyville, Cannon County, Tennessee. Elizabeth was a graduate of Woodbury High School, later attending Nashville Business School to learn accounting, which she used throughout her 35 year career, as a Finance Accountant, with the State of Tennessee.

She was a member of McKendree Methodist Church, since the 1940’s and a member of the Excelsior Sunday School Class.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, Charles Ernest & Fannie Elizabeth (Tassey) Francis; brothers, Charles Ernest Francis & Donald Ward Francis; sister, Irene Frances; husband, Harry F. Marshall.

She is survived by: brother, Jesse Francis; step-son, Henry (Joy) Marshall, sister-in-law, Charlene Hardy Francis; grandchildren, Joseph Daniel Marshall,  Pam (James) Sykes,  & Pat Pledger (Rich Schremmer);  great-granddaughter, Bailey Sykes; nieces and nephews:  Ann (Mark) Wolfe, Alice F. (Scott) Shrum,  Beth Isabel, John David Francis, Donald Francis.

Funeral Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, January 28th 2012, in Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall with Rev. Steve Handy Officiating & Interment to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
