Carroll Wayne Nichols

Carroll Wayne Nichols, 76, died Thursday, May 3, 2012 at his home in Woodbury.

A native of Cannon County, he was a member of the Woodbury FirstBaptist Church and was retired from General Electric in Murfreesboro.

Survivors:

2 Sons & Daughter-in-law: Lee Wayne & Missy Nichols and Gary Ross Nichols, all of Woodbury.

Daughter & Son-in-law: Rose Mary & Donald Corley of Woodbury.

Sister and brother-in-law: Dean & John Boyer of Gallatin.

Very Dear Friend: Norma Jean Davenport of Woodbury.

Also surviving are 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George & Maggie Lee Alexander Nichols; his step-mother, Susie Davenport Nichols and his wife, Dorothy Jean Hamilton Nichols.

Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 6, 2012 with Bro. Hunter Hay and Bro. Tony Burnett officiating. Burial will be in Reed Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. until time of services.

Pallbearers: Dustin & David Nichols, Dillion & Drew Corley, Herbie Elliot, James Estes, Donald Preston & Bob Davenport

Honorary Pallbearers: Ray Nichols, Winfred Gaither, Thomas Earl Nichols, W.R. Nichols, Josh Rooker & Russell Davenport.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
