Worthless check, probation violations seen

Judge Susan Melton presided over General Session Court on Tuesday, February 5.  Some of the results of the various cases included:

John Elmer Fletcher's charges of aggravated assault X5 and vandalisms over $500.00 were bound over to the May term of the Grand Jury.

Sherry L. Ford pled guilty to passing a worthless check.  She was sentenced to 11 months 29 days in jail.  That sentence was suspended upon equal time on probation, paying $1678.87 in restitution and the costs.

Kory Lyndell Smith agreed to violation of his probation.  He was ordered to serve his original sentence of 11 months 29 days.


Cindy R. Rose agreed to the violation of probation.  Her probation was extended 11 months 29 days.  Roses' judicial diversions for 3 counts of passing a worthless check were terminated and guilty pleas were entered for the 3 counts of passing a worthless check.  In each count she was sentenced to 11 months 29 days in jail.  Those sentences were suspended upon equal time on probation, paying restitution and the costs.

Dwight Sanders charges of burglary, aggravated criminal trespass, vandalism over $1000.00 and vandalism under $500.00 were bound over to the May term of the Grand Jury.

Justin Waylon West's charges of carrying a weapon and leaving the scene of an accident were retired for 6 months.  West was ordered to forfeit any seized weapons and pay the costs.

Jeremy Pittard pled guilty to violation of community supervision.  He was sentenced to 11 months 29 days in jail.  That sentence was partially suspended upon serving 5 months 14 days, 6 months 15 days on probation and paying the costs.

Dustin Matthew Mayo agreed to the violation of his probation.  He was ordered to serve his original sentence of 11 months 29 days.  Mayo other charges of aggravated burglary, criminal trespass and theft over $1000.00 were bound over to the May term of the Grand Jury.
