Woodbury Police Investigate Thefts At Old Feed Store, Ace Hardware

Following are the latest arrest and incident reports as recorded by the Cannon County Sheriff's Department and the Woodbury Police Department. Readers are advised that an allegation or report of a crime does not necessarily constitute a crime, or that one took place. WPD Incident Reports for 03.17.2010

Sergeant Kevin Mooneyham responded to a theft of items from the Old Feed Store Antique Mall on 03.13.2010. There Mike Vaughn reported that items were found missing from three booths belonging to James Adkins, Barbara Vaughn, and Danny Brewer.

Sergeant John House took a report for theft of property at Potter's Ace Hardware on 03.11.2010. There the manager played back two videos from 03.04 and 03.06 where a subject in a dark tobogan, khaki pants and boots, and a white long sleeve shirt under a striped shirt placed two drills in his pants and walked out. Subject also attempted to steal a nail gun but it was too large to conceal. The investigation is ongoing.

Assistant Chief Darryl Young charged Ricky Dale Manier with Financial Responsibility Law and Driving on Suspended License after stopping him on S. McCrary street on 03.15.2010.

Sergeant John House charged Jeremy Dean Sissom with Driving on a Revoked License on 03.14.2010.

Sergeant Kevin Mooneyham charged Rhonda Kay Davis with Violation of Registration Law, Financial Responsibility, and Driving on a Suspended License on 03.10.2010.

Sergeant Kevin Mooneyham charged Jamie K. Slatton with Driving on a Suspended License on 03.12.2010.

CCSO Incident Reports for 03.17.2010

Deputies Eric Moss and Patrick Fann went to 7047 Short Mountain Road on 03.09.2010 to serve an arrest warrant for Violation of Probation on David Parton. Mr. Parton was taken into custody and transported to the CCSO where he was booked in.

Deputy Steve McMillen took a report at 896 Parker Drive from Carol Johnson regarding a dog at large. Mrs. Parker had been riding her bicycle on 03.09.2010 when a black and white border collie dog began chasing her. She had to swerve to avoid the dog and took a spill, hitting her ear on a fence post. She stated that she had to go to a plastic surgeon in Murfreesboro to have the ear attended to. Later on 03.10.2010 Mrs. Johnson came into the CCSO and reported that she had spoken to her neighbors about the dog but that no one knew who owned it. She also said the dog came from 395 Parker Drive.

Deputy Steve McMillen responded to a structure fire at 6749 Dug Hollow Road on 03.11.2010. There he saw a smokehouse and Chevy truck engulfed in flames. The owner, Terry Parker, reported that he came home and parked the truck behind the smokehouse. Parker then noticed a smell of gasoline and opened the hood to find flames. Attempting to start the truck to move it caused the fire to get worse and it spread to the smokehouse. The vehicle and structure were a total loss.

Deputy Brandon Mimms was called to 1078 Gassaway Main Street for a house fire on 03.11.2010. There he found the house completely engulfed in flames. The Gassaway FD was on scene fighting the fire. Dispatch had reported the house blew up or exploded. Deputy Mimms looked around for a propane tank or similar but only found two gas cans that did not seem to have been the cause of the fire (one was cracked and one had water in the bottom).

Deputy Patrick Fann went to South Ridge Apartments to serve a warrant on Jeremy Leedom on 03.13.2010. Mr. Leedom was taken into custody and served with Violation of Community Corrections.
