Woodbury Board, Budget Committee Meet This Week

The Woodbury Board of Mayor and Aldermen and the Budget Committee of the Cannon County Commission are scheduled to meet this week.

The Woodbury Board will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall.

The main item on the agenda is an update on the proposal to purchase a building for a fire hall.

The Budget Committee will meet at the Cannon County Courthouse Thursday at 6 p.m.

Committee members will review the proposed budget for the current fiscal year and discuss possible changes.

At its regular quarterly meeting in July, the full commission took no action on approving the proposed budget and on setting a property tax rate of $2.52 per $100 of assessed value. The $2.52 rate represents a 20-cent increase.
