Waterfall Tour Planned March 19 At Edgar Evins State Park

Mar 21, 2011 at 02:21 am by admin

Reservations are now open for the Annual Waterfall Tour on March 19, sponsored by Friends of Edgar Evins State Park, Silverpoint (near Smithville and Cookeville).

We will leave the park's Visitors Center at 8 a.m. C.T. in state vans. The first part of this year's tour is to Rock Island State Park for the Great Falls and Twin Falls, where a local park ranger will join us to tell about the features and history of the falls.

We'll eat lunch at the Golden Corral , then visit Cookeville's City Park Lake Falls before returning to our cars at Edgar Evins State Park about 3:30 p.m.

Cost for the tour is $10 per person, plus your lunch. Reservations are required for this very popular event, which sells out early every year.

To make reservations phone (toll free) 1-800-250-8619  or 931-858-2446. You may visit the Friends of Edgar Evins State Park website at http://foeesp.ne1.net for more information.
