Two Women Charged With Making, Possessing Meth

Cannon County Sheriff’s Investigator Anthony Young filed drug charges against two young local women on April 11.

Acting on a tip, Investigator Young stopped a car being driven by Haley Kay Schwartz, 19, of 3831 Jim Cummings Hwy., Woodbury, on Highway 70S. Also in the vehicle was Haley Morgan Parker, 18, of 6749 Dug Hollow Rd., Bradyville.

During a search, components used in the manufacture of methamphetamine along with a white powdery substances believed to be methamphetamine were discovered.

Schwartz and Parker were each charged with initiating the process to manufacture methamphetamine and possession of a Schedule II drug. Bond for both defendants was set at $50,000.

Initial court date for Parker is set for June 7. Schwartz had her case bound over to the May term of the Cannon County Grand Jury during General Sessions Court Tuesday.
