Two Women Charged With Assault

In separate incidents by WPD, CCSD:

• Melody Beth Haley, 107 East Adams St., Woodbury, was charged with domestic assault on May 30 by Woodbury Assistant Police Chief Kevin Mooneyham. It is alleged that on that date Haley grabbed her boyfriend’s shirt, tearing it from his body, and scratching him about the neck. Boyfriend then pushed Haley into a wall. As the boyfriend went to the basement area of the house, Haley followed him, breaking a picture frame by throwing it on the floor, and throwing flowers at the victim as he was going out the door. Following the investigation, it was determine Haley was the primary aggressor in the incident. Bond was set at $1,000. Initial court date is July 19.

• Kayla Rena Sanders, 848 Foster Rd., Smithville, was charged with assault on May 27 by Cannon County Sheriff’s Deputy Lawrence Avera. Sanders allegedly drove by the house of Tiffany Michelle Anderson, and the home of Anderson’s neighbor, while yelling out the window, “Where’s Tiff? I’m gonna whoop her a..” with the intent of provoking a fight. Initial court date is July 12.

• Kenneth F. Anderson, 3332 Espy Rd., Bradyville, was charged with driving on a revoked license, second offense, on May 29 by Woodbury Patrolman Patrick Fann following a traffic stop on John Bragg Hwy. Anderson was clocked driving 72 mph in a 45 mph zone. Bond was set at $500. Initial court date is July 26.

• Adam Cope, 1480 Smartt Station Rd., Morrison, was charged with driving on a suspended license, violation of the financial responsibility law and violation of the seatbelt law on May 27 by Cannon County Sheriff’s Deputy Travis Turney during a safety and sobriety checkpoint on McMinnville Hwy. A release citation was issued. Initial court date is June 7.

• Karen Luann Dinovo, 598 Young Hollow Rd., Woodbury, was charged with driving on a revoked license, first offense, by Woodbury Patrolman John Fesmire on May 27 following a traffic stop on McMinnville Hwy. A release citation was issued. Initial court date is July 26.

• Jerad Ray Mullins, 5938 Dickens Hill Rd., Bradyville, was charged with driving on a suspended license on May 29 by Cannon County Sheriff’s Deputy Lawrence Avera following a traffic stop on John Bragg Hwy. Initial court date is July 12.

• Lori Ann Watson, 144 Merritt, LaVergne, was charged with driving under the influence and violation of the implied consent law by Cannon County Sheriff’s Deputy Travis Turney on May 30. Deputy Turney observed Watson traveling at a low rate of speed and weaving across the road on John Bragg Hwy. After he stopped Watson’s vehicle, Deputy Turney noted she appeared to be under the influence and had slurred speech. Watson submitted to field sobriety tests and did not perform them to the satisfaction of the deputy. She refused a blood alcohol content test. Initial court date is July 12.

• Micah S. Blair, 1126 Hollis Creek Rd, Woodbury, was charged with driving on a revoked license, first offense, on June 1 by Woodbury Police Sgt. John House following a traffic stop on Highway 53N. Blair stated he was driving because he was helping someone out. A release citation was issued. Initial court date is July 19.

• James Aaron Nelson, 3421 Emery Court, Murfreesboro, was charged with simple possession of marijuana on May 27 by Woodbury Police Sgt. John House following a traffic stop on Hwy. 70S. A release citation was issued. Initial court date is June 14.
