Two Plead Guilty To TennCare Fraud

Two men entered guilty pleas in Cannon County Circuit Court Friday (March 9) in separate cases of TennCare fraud.

Wiley Thomas pled guilty to four counts of TennCare fraud involving “doctor shopping.” Judge Don Ash sentenced Thomas to 2-year sentences on each count and 2 years of state supervised probation, to run concurrent. He also was order to pay a $100 fine on each count and to pay $144.11 in restitution to TennCare.

James C. Emberton pled guilty to five counts of TennCare fraud involving "doctor shopping." He agreed to serve 2 years on each count and pay court costs. Sentencing was set for May 24, at which time a Violation Of Probation charge against him will also be heard.
