Judge Susan Melton presided over Cannon County General Sessions Court on Tuesday, Aug. 21. The results of some of the cases on the docket are as follows:
• Jonathon Briley pled guilty to Simple Possession of Marijuana. He was given a suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days, equal time on probation, fined $250 and assessed court costs.
• Jonathan Dale Davis pled guilty to Public Intoxication. He was given a 30 day suspended sentence, equal probation time and assessed court costs. Davis also pled guilty to Violation Of The Implied Consent Law. His license was suspended for one year and he was assessed court costs. In another case Davis pled guilty to Simple Possession Of Marijuana. He received a suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days, equal probation time, a $250 fine and was assessed court costs.
• William Richard Barrett agreed to revocation for Violation of Probation. He was ordered to serve 14 days in the Cannon County Jail and his probation was extended for 16 days.
• Boyce Tyrone Brown agreed to revocation for Violation of Probation. He was ordered to serve 30 days in the county jail and his probation was extended for 10 months, 15 days.
• Isaiah Dennis Burton pled guilty to Driving On Suspended License 2nd Offense. He was given a 6 month suspended sentence, equal probation time, fined $50 and assessed court costs. His driver’s license will be suspended for a period to be determined by the Tennessee Department of Safety. Burton also pled guilty to Speeding (86/55) and was fined $25 and assessed court costs.
• Bobby Jerome Davenport, Jr., charged with Violation of Probation, failed a drug screen (testing positive for meth). His bond was revoked and he was remanded to the custody of the Cannon County Sheriff's Dept. His next court date is Oct. 9.
• Pamela Diane Lafever agreed to revocation for Violation Of Probation. Her probation was extended for 11 months, 29 days.
• Aaron Emerson Lively pled guilty to Driving Without A License. He received a 30 day suspended sentence, a $2 fine and was assessed court costs.
• Gina Elaine House Lowe pled guilty to Speeding (64/55) and will attend driver’s safety school.
• Dale Ray Mayo pled guilty to DUI. He received a partially suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days, equal time on probation, a 48 hour jail sentence, a $350 fine and was assessed court costs. His license was suspended for 1 year and he will have to perform 24 hours of litter removal.
• Peyton Andrew Young admitted to guilt on a charge of Underage Consumption and entered into an agreed order of retirement for 11 months, 29 days. He was also assessed court costs.
• Nicholas St. Cyr, charged with Violation of Probation, failed a drug screen (testing positive for marijuana). His bond was revoked and he was remanded to the custody of the sheriff’s department. The case was reset for Sept. 18.
• Cody Tyler Nunley admitted to guilt on a charge of Reckless Driving. The case was continued for 9 months, subject to good and lawful conduct. He was also ordered to pay the court costs.
• Melinda Carol Barrett had a Violation of Probation charges reset for Nov. 27.
• Leslie Beilfuss had charges of Aggravated Assault, Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Arrest was reset for Sept. 11.
• William Kevin Bryant had charges of Driving On Revoked License 3rd Offense and Driving Uninsured reset for Nov. 27.
• Donald Jacob Burnsworth pled guilty to Driving On Suspended License 2nd Offense. Sentencing was set for Nov. 27.
• Shawn T. Pritchard had a charge of Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia reset for Sept. 18.
• Radolfo Lejama Rodriguez had a charge of Driving While License Suspended reset for Aug. 28.
• John Charles Smith had charges of DUI, Vandalism, Reckless Driving and Implied Consent reset for Oct. 2.
• Janice Lee Young had charges of DUI 1st and Possession Of A Schedule III Controlled Substance reset for Nov. 13.
• Charles W. Climer pled guilty to Driving While License Revoked 2nd Offense. Sentencing was set for Nov. 27.
• Thor L. Coleman had a charge of Theft Over $500 deferred to a later date. He is currently serving time in the Rutherford County Jail on another charge.
• Joshua Blake Cummings had a charge of Domestic Assault reset for Oct. 9.
• Jacqueline Franklin Felton had charges of Driving On Suspended License 1st Offense and False Reports reset for Oct. 2.
• James Felton had a charge of False Reports reset for Oct. 2.
• Nancy Michelle Hupp pled guilty to Driving On Suspended License 1st Offense. Sentencing was set for Nov. 27.
• Giovanni Morales had charges of Driving Without A License (two counts) reset for Aug. 28.
• Matthew Nimens failed to appear on a charge of Driving While License Suspended and a Show Cause was issued.
• Robert Lee Odom had charges of Disorderly Conduct and Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia reset for Sept. 25.
• Shelly Mai Powell had her request for an Expungement reset for Oct. 23.
• Mandi Jo Mathews had a DUI charge reset for Sept. 11.
