Two Face Charges Following Auburntown Rd. Stop

A recent traffic stop on Highway 145 (Auburntown Rd.) resulted in multiple drug charges being filed against two persons.

Sgt. John House of the Woodbury Police Dept. made the stop on Feb. 17.

Facing charges are:

The driver, John B. Carter, 194 Project Circle P.O. Box 12, Carthage, for promotion of methamphetamine manufacture, unlawful carrying of a weapon (a loaded handgun), driving on a suspended license, 5th offense, possession of a Schedule II drug (meth), possession of a Schedule IV drugs (Klonopin) and possession of drug paraphernalia (syringes).

A passenger, Audria L. Estes, 6027 Alexandria St., Alexandria, for promotion of methamphetamine manufacture, driving on a suspended license, 5th offense, possession of a Schedule II drug (meth), possession of a Schedule IV drugs (Klonopin) and possession of drug paraphernalia (syringes).

Bond was set at $37,500 for Carter and $27,900 for Estes. They are scheduled for their initial appearance in Cannon County General Sessions Court on March 22.
