Sherrell Graduates From Denison University

GRANVILLE, OH — Laura Diane Sherrell of Bradyville, was among the 481 graduates awarded diplomas by President Dale T. Knobel at Denison University's 170th commencement held May 15.

Laura Diane Sherrell earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in German and a minor in philosophy. She was a recipient of the Denison Founders Award, Danner Lee Mahood Award for Creative Nonfiction, Meier Family Endowed Scholarship, and Cindy Whitacre '73 Scholarship. Sherrell studied abroad with the Freiburg Program in Germany.

The commencement address, "The Best Kept Secret," was delivered by David H. Bayley '55, a Distinguished Professor at the School of Criminal Justice at State University of New York at Albany.

Denison University, located in Granville, Ohio, and founded in 1831, is an independent, residential liberal arts institution enrolling 2,100 full-time undergraduate students from all 50 states and dozens of foreign countries.
