Sandy Hollandsworth announces her candidacy for a second term as Register of Deeds subject to the August 2nd General Election.

In announcing her candidacy, Sandy acknowledges that although she is running unopposed, she is still mindful of the fact that she is hired by the voters of Cannon County and is asking for your complimentary vote.

"I grew up in the Auburntown Community. My parents, Bobby and Dean Fletcher still live on the family farm. My brother, Steve Fletcher and his wife Janice reside in Auburntown and my sister, Melinda Crook is the principal of Auburn School.

"My husband Stan and I have been married for 36 years and we have two children, Stephanie (Mark) Vance and Shane (Jessica) Hollandsworth. We also have five grandchildren, Reese, Ryder & Renley Vance and Everett & Emersyn Hollandsworth who will be joined by Edie Shae in September!

"Prior to being elected in 2014, I assisted long-time Register of Deeds, Debbie Morris who chose not to seek re-election that year.

"In order to improve both myself and the office of Register of Deeds, I enrolled in the County Officials Certificate Training Program sponsored by the University of Tennessee County Technical Assistance Service. Participants are required to complete 4 Core Classes and 40 Elective Classes on subjects ranging from Financial Issues and Ethics to Leadership and Creating a Positive Work Environment. At the conclusion of this program participants are designated by the University of Tennessee as a Certified Public Administrator. I will complete this program April 27th.

"It is an honor and a privilege to serve the people of Cannon County in this capacity and I can assure you that I do not take the responsibilities of this position lightly.
