Usually with this article, we ask a couple Cannon County student-athletes some 10 fun questions about themselves. However, this week we decided to do something a little bit different to honor those eighth graders who have played part of an important role on the first ever CCMG basketball team this season.

So, we asked all 21 of them from the cheerleading squad and the Junior Lions and Lionettes just one question: What is your favorite part about playing for Cannon County? Or How Cool is it to Represent Cannon County?

Here are their answers.

We at the Courier thanks CCMG cheerleading coach Lisa Choate, Junior Lionettes head coach Ashley Cantrell, and Junior Lions head coach Jared Nave for their help setting up this article.

Ladies first.

CCMG cheerleaders

Rachel Choate- I like being with different people from different schools.

Kylee Davis- Putting a smile on other people's faces, and meeting other cheerleaders

Briley Cunningham- I like mixing with other schools and getting to know them, and cheering for my other friends from different schools.

Emma McIntosh- I like being able to meet new people and learn new skills.

Jenna McMackins- I like to represent our county, meet new people and cheer on our team.
