AT THIS TIME BIDS WILL BE OPENED AT THE CANNON COUNTY HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT GARAGE, 900 OLD MCMINNVILLE HIGHWAY, P.O. BOX 260, WOODBURY, TN 37190 FOR PAVING VARIOUS COUNTY ROADS.

Request for Bids for
Solid Waste Removal Contract

Cannon County is requesting bids for the collection, management and transportation of all household solid waste to a Class 1 Landfill.

SEALED bids are due no later than April 24, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cannon County Courthouse at the address below and should be marked WASTE REMOVAL BID.

A copy of the RFP can be secured from the County Executive or Assistant at the Cannon County Courthouse at (615) 563-2320.

Bids must be sent through U.S. Mail, Express Mail or hand-delivered. Bids are not accepted through e-mail or fax. Proposals received after the scheduled due date and time will not be accepted. Cannon County is not liable for any cost incurred by the bidder in connection with the preparation of submission of a proposal. Cannon County reserves the right to accept any proposal and to reject any and all proposals, should it be deemed for the best interest of the County to do so.

Bids will be opened publicly at the Cannon County Courthouse on April 24, 2019 at 1:00 p.m.

Notice of Grand Jury Meeting

It is the duty of your grand jurors to investigate any public offense which they know or have reason to believe has been committed and which is triable or indictable in this county. Any person having knowledge or proof that an offense has been committed may apply to testify before the grand jury subject to the provisions of Tennessee Code Annotated 40-12-104.

The foreman in this county is presently Mitch Wilson, 330 Riverbend Drive, Woodbury, Tennessee.

The Grand Jury will meet on Friday, May 10th, 2019 at 9 am. You may be prosecuted for perjury for any oral or written statement which you make under oath to the grand jury, when you know the statement to be false, and when the statement touches on a matter material to the point in question.
