Seems like some people always frown and look down on the world, while others always seem to have a smile on their face. If you know Micheal George, then you know he is in the second group of people. Micheal is a joy to be around and he loves God, life, his family, farming, the Rescue Squad, and the Fire Department.

Micheal has devoted over 21 years of service to Cannon County and during those years he has serviced in various positions with the Cannon County Rescue Squad and the Mooretown Volunteer Fire Department. Micheal has served as the Secretary/Treasurer and Chaplin for the Rescue Squad. He has held several positions with the Fire Department including Secretary/Treasurer, Assistant Chief, and he has been the Chief since 2006.

Micheal has been trained in Land Search and Rescue, Swift Water Rescue, and Emergency Vehicle Operations. He holds a State of Tennessee Firefighter I certification and he is certified as a Vehicle Rescue Technician by the Tennessee Association of Rescue Squads. Micheal has also been a Licensed EMT for many years.

We would like to thank Micheal George for his many years of dedicated service to the citizens of Cannon County. We especially want to thank him for his service and leadership to the Cannon County Rescue Squad.
