Meth Bust Nabs Four At Two Homes

Four people were charged with drug-related offenses following an investigation by the Cannon County Sheriff’s Department at two homes on Todd Road in early February.

On February 4, deputies Brandon Gullett and Mike “Doc” Smith went to 520 Todd Rd. in response to a report of a domestic disturbance.

While there they observed possible components of a meth lab and contacted Sheriff’s Investigator Anthony Young.

Investigator Young obtained search warrants and went to the location.

Following his review of the purported evidence, Investigator Young filed charged against two residents of 520 Todd Rd., George Owen Mears and Timothy Mears.

Timothy Mears was charged with Initiating The Process To Manufacture Methamphetamine. His bond was set at $10,000.

George Mears was charged with Facilitation Of The Manufacture Of Methamphetamine and Maintaining A Dwelling To Use, Keep Or Sell A Controlled Substance. His bond was set at $12,000.

The investigation also led to charges being brought against two next door neighbors who live at 406 Todd Rd.

Kenneth Anderson, Jr. was charged with Initiating The Process To Manufacture Methamphetamine. A $5,000 bond was fixed. Eve I. Moore was charged with Facilitation Of Manufacture Of Methamphetamine and Maintaining A Dwelling To Keep, Use Or Sell A Controlled Substance and her bond was set at $13,000.

All four suspects are scheduled to appear in Cannon County General Sessions Court on May 15.
