Man On Probation For DOSL Charged Again

A Bradyville man who was convicted recently for driving on a suspended license is facing the same charge.

James Christopher Shamlin II, 1279 Toy Denny Rd., Bradyville, was charged with driving on a suspended license 2nd offense by Cannon County Sheriff's Deputy Eric Moss on Aug. 2 following a traffic stop on Red Hill Rd.

Shamlin was stopped after he allegedly ran the stop sign at the intersection of Petty Gap Rd. and Hwy. 53 South.

Shamlin pled guilty to driving on a suspended license on June 7 from a previous infraction. He was given a 6 month suspended sentence, placed on probation for an equal amount of time, fined $50 and assessed court costs.

Bond was set at $1,500 on the latest charge. Initial court date is Oct. 4.

• Terry W. Pelham, 85 Twin Court, Woodbury, was charged with domestic assault on Aug. 7 by Cannon County Sheriff's Deputy Eric Moss. Pelham allegedly his the victim about the face and head four or five times. Bond was set at $2,500. Initial court date is Sept. 6.

• Jack Robert Peters, 990 Panhandle Rd., Manchester, was charged with aggravated burglary on July 24 by Woodbury Assistant Police Chief Kevin Mooneyham. Peters allegedly went to 319 Jay Circle without being invited or have consent to enter, but did enter the residence and assault Jeremy Sissom. This was done due to Sissom dating Peters' ex-girlfriend. Bond was set at $4,000. Initial court date is Sept. 20.

• Clayton Thomas Adams, 778 Paschal Rd., Readyville, was charged with driving on a revoked license on Aug. 7 by Woodbury Assistant Police Chief Kevin Mooneyham following a traffic stop on Hayes St. A release citation was issued. Initial court date is Sept. 20.
