Man Of 'Steel' Found Staggering Across Highway

A man who said he drank a case of beer was possibly saved from fatal injury recently by Woodbury's assistant chief of police.

Joshua M. Graham. 104 McMillan St., Woodbury, was charged with public intoxication on Aug. 8 by Woodbury Assistant Police Chief Kevin Mooneyham.

APC Mooneyham was called to First Stop Market in reference to a belligerent customer. When he arrived, APC Mooneyham found Graham crossing John Bragg Hwy. in an intoxicated state, putting himself in danger of being hit by a passing motorist.

After he was taken into custody, Graham admitted to drinking approximately a case of Steel Reserve beer.

Bond was set at $500. Initial court date is Sept. 20.
