Judge Don Ash presided over Cannon County Circuit Court on Thursday. Some of the results from the various cases which appeared on the docket included:
Lea Ann Farless pled guilty to the charge of resisting arrest. She was sentenced to 6 months in the county jail. In another case, Farless pled guilty to the charge of vandalism under $500.00. She received an 11 month, 29 day jail sentence. Both of Farless’ sentences were suspended upon 11 months, 29 days supervised probation, paying the court costs and paying restitution to the victims.
John McPeak was held in contempt and ordered to serve 10 days in jail for failing to come to court with an attorney. His case was reset for January 29, 2010.
James G. Vanatta was reset for motions on February 12, 2010 and a jury trial on April 8, 2010.
Steven Hollis’ petition for suspended sentence was denied by Judge Ash. He was ordered to serve his entire 1 year prison sentence.
Joseph D. Moore was reset for motions on February 12, 2010 and a jury trial on April 8, 2010.
Chase Pelham was reset for plea day on January 29, 2010.
Christopher Nathan Davenport’s petition for suspended sentence was partially granted. He was ordered to serve 6 additional months in the county jail. Upon release, he will be on State supervised probation for 3 years. In addition, he will pay the court costs and restitution to the victim.
Forrest Reeder was reset for plea day January 29, 2010.
