Man Dies In Bush Hog Accident

A Cannon County man died Wednesday night from injuries sustained in a bush hog accident.

Newburn K. Hayes, of 263 Newburn Hayes Lane, Woodbury, died following the accident, which occurred around 7:30 p.m.

A lifelong entrepreneur, he built several businesses and recently developed Lake Hollow Retreats Subdivision.

He was a TN Walking Horse breeder and raised several notable horses including the 2002 World Champion Juvenile Horse. Mr. Hayes was also a farmer and a member of the TWHBEA.
