Lonnie Mayne Mooneyham

Lonnie Mayne Mooneyham, 91, died Sunday, December 18, 2011 at Vanderbilt Hospital as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

A resident of Woodbury, he was a native of Cannon County.

A member of the Smith Grove Church of Christ, Mr. Mooneyham was a Ret. Psychiatric Nurse’s Aide, a Ret. Barber and farmer.  He was also a veteran of WWII, where he served in the Army.

Survivors:

 Wife of 60 years: Dorothy Thamm Mooneyham of Woodbury.

Aunt: Bessie Merriman of Woodbury.

Nieces: Shirley Maxwell and Jan Clendenin both of Mt. Juliet, Debbie Lawson, Sandra Banks Hollandsworth, Vickie Banks Shoemake all of McMinnville, Brenda Banks Woods of Irvine, CA.

Nephews: Gale Bryan of Fl., Don Bryan of Woodbury, Alan Brown of Maitland, FL.

Several great nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert H. & Hattie Pittman Mooneyham and his siblings, Willie Floyd Mooneyham, Elizabeth Lawson, Janet Smithson, Louise Mullinax, Viola Bryan and Helen Banks.

Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 22 with Bro. Gayle Rains officiating.

Burial will be in Prater Cemetery.

Visitation is from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Wednesday, December 21, 2011.

Pallbearers: Matt, Russ and Steve Clendenin, Adam Shoemake, Nate Heisey, Roger Patterson and Sammy Powell.
