Cannon County football's final regular season home game against Upperman, scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, has been moved to Thursday night, school officials confirmed this morning. Kickoff will be at 7 p.m., at Fred Schwarz Field.

The Lions (5-4) have already secured their first playoff appearance since 1995, and will be battling the Bees with a district championship on the line should they win and DeKalb County lose to Livingston Academy in a game that will also be played Thursday.

Way to go Lions. Remember the 1985 Lions went 5-5 in the regular season but no playoffs. Lost to Wayne County in the Walking Horse Bowl in Lewisburg. Don't let up.
