Janet Elaine White Howse, age 82, of Woodbury passed away Saturday, May 11, 2024 at her home. She was born to her parents, the late Levi Earl White & Margaret Gerhart White on February 8, 1942 in Roxborough, PA.
She is survived by her husband of almost 15 years, Anthony (Fred) Howse of Woodbury; Daughter, Barbara (David) Gregory of Live Oak, FL; Grandchildren, Jennifer (Marc) Bauman of Indianapolis & Matthew Gregory of Miami; Step Children, Andrew Mark Howse of Woodbury, Anthony Chad Howse of Lebanon, Titus Nathaniel of Woodbury, & Cindyanna (Brian) Rono of Hoover, AL; and Step Grandchildren, Kirsten Howse & Tabitha Howse.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Levi Earl White & Margaret White.
Janet was a member of the West High Street church of Christ. She had many jobs throughout her life including, Reader's Digest, Orange Grove, apartment manager and secretary. She was the owner and managed a daycare center as well as being a teacher. She was President of the SHHH (Self Help for Hard of Hearing). She trained guide dogs for the Deaf and certified 67 dogs. She was also the author of "God Does No Wrong". In her spare time, she enjoyed her handmade crafts and puzzles.
Funeral Services will be at 2 PM Thursday, May 16, 2024 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Peeler officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery. The family will receive friends for the visitation from 12 Noon to 2 PM Thursday, May 16, 2024.
