Just as students were gathering at Motlow’s Moore County campus for new student orientation, employees found a baby deer resting by a back door ramp. Apparently it is common for a mama deer to leave her fawn in a ‘safe’ location while she forages for food. Motlow’s maintenance department employees said the mama has been leaving the fawn during the day and will come back to get it when she’s through running her errands or whatever it is mama deer do. Maybe the doe is leaving her baby on the Motlow campus to learn to be a Buck!
