There will be a free full Thanksgiving Day meal Thursday, November 26 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Woodbury and the guest list is as follows: Everybody!

That’s “everybody” as in everybody; as in open doors and welcome arms for anyone who seeks fellowship and community spirit.

“The common thread in all of this is that it’s all about the community and serving others,” explained Dan Bowling, organizer at this year’s event. The Bowling Family and the church are sponsoring the event.

Organizers expect those to attend are residents who don’t have anyone to share the holiday with; people who would rather not cook at home; and those who are facing economic challenges and appreciate a great dinner.

The family believes this event will take on extra meaning this year as more and more people face tough economic times.

No reservations are needed, and those who are shut-in in the city may call Marc Bowling at 615-692-2211 for a delivery on that day.

First United Methodist Church of Woodbury is located at 502 West High Street.
